For iOS 27 · Gas · Hybrid · Electric

Every car.
Every cost.
One place.

Log every charge, fill-up, service and trip in one place. CarCapt does the math and hands you efficiency, cost and trends in plain language.

No account. No CarCapt server. Your records stay on your device.

CarCapt dashboard for a black Hyundai IONIQ 5 named X-25: 3.8 miles per kilowatt-hour average, 57 charges, 1,427 total kWh for $616, with live trip logging one tap away.

One app for every car you'll ever drive.

Gas, hybrid, or electric, all treated equally. Switch fuels, switch cars, never switch apps.

CarCapt dashboard for a black Ford F-150 named Night Monkey: 24.1 MPG average, 28.4 last fill, 30 fill-ups, 778 gallons, and 20,412 miles tracked.

Your whole car, at a glance.

Efficiency, cost-per-mile, total miles tracked, the city/highway split, home vs public charging. The numbers that actually matter, computed for you and laid out on frosted Liquid Glass cards.

  • MPG & MPGe, side by side
  • ¢/mile, $/gal and $/kWh average tiles
  • Total Miles Tracked with a live sparkline

Trends

Charts you can actually read.

Monthly bars for efficiency, spending, price, energy and distance. Pick 3M, 6M, 1Y or All, or set a custom range and scroll back through your whole history, always year-labeled, every bar at its true height. Long histories scroll, or tap Scaled to fit and see the whole story condensed into real quarters and years. The numbers never argue with each other: your Avg, Last and Best tiles speak straight from the months the graph draws, estimates wear a faint ≈ instead of posing as measurements, and a month without enough data shows an honest hollow ring — never a made-up bar. Then Apple Intelligence writes plain-English insights about what's changing, on‑device.

CarCapt Trends: monthly efficiency bars averaging 23.3 MPG, fueling cost around $445 a month, Apple Intelligence insights about fuel prices and mileage, and overdue service reminders.

An IRS-ready mileage log that runs itself.

Live GPS tracking with start, pause and end, or let automatic drive detection catch the trip for you. A trip in progress even survives a restart. Forget to end one? CarCapt notices the long stop, asks once, and — left alone — ends the trip itself, trimmed to the last mile you actually drove. Tag each one business or personal and keep a clean, deduction-ready record. And when a drive turns into a road trip, the days gather themselves into a Journey — one card with the whole story: miles, stops, fuel and cost, from your driveway to wherever you end up. Built for road-trippers and long-haul drivers alike.

  • Live GPS distance, in real time
  • Automatic drive detection
  • Journeys: multi-day drives, summarized automatically
  • Forgot to stop? Trips end themselves, trimmed right
  • Business vs personal, IRS-ready

Long hauls tell their own story.

Drive far enough to sleep somewhere new, and CarCapt gathers those days into a Journey — one card carrying the whole run: miles, stops, fuel or charge costs, and your real efficiency on the road. It rides your dashboard while the trip is live and settles into your logs when you’re home. Every individual trip stays exactly where it was, tags and all — the Journey is the summary, never a rewrite. Commutes never sneak in: if the car sleeps in its own driveway, life stays out of the scrapbook.

  • Multi-day drives, summarized automatically
  • Live on the dashboard while you’re out
  • Road-trippers and long-haul drivers, this one’s yours

Snap the receipt. Snap the pump or charger. We'll read the numbers.

Point your camera at a receipt, a statement, or the pump's own display, and it’s read entirely on your iPhone: Apple Intelligence understands the document, and a deterministic table reader checks every digit against the printed page. Statements import even when the AI can’t, and every import keeps its original document attached, so any entry can be traced back to the page it came from. Already have history? Import your Fuelly and Electrify America CSV exports. And because a charge takes hours, an entry you’ve started is held safely until you come back to finish it — put in your starting percentage while the car’s plugged in, close the app, and it’s all still there tomorrow.

  • On-device receipt & statement reading
  • Live pump & charger screen scanning
  • Fuelly & Electrify America CSV import
  • Start an entry now, finish it tomorrow
  • Nothing leaves your phone to do it

Personalization

Make it yours.

Nine aurora palettes (Voltage, Mariner, Sunset, Ember, Forest, Orchid, Citrus, Dusk and Graphite) recolor the whole app, live, and a full icon set lets the Home Screen match. Every car gets its own dashboard: drag the sections into your order and hide the ones you don't use. Dial the text size to your eyes, pick your typeface, even define your own trip purposes. Same numbers, your glow.

Every stop mapped. Every streak counted.

The Map remembers everywhere your car has been. Tap any stop for the full place card, Look Around included. And 137 achievements turn clean record-keeping into a game you'll actually want to win.

And a few more things it quietly handles.

On every screen you own

Your car's whole story, everywhere you look.

One logbook that syncs privately through your own iCloud: every entry, photo, and receipt on every device you own, each one playing to its strengths.

Built on the latest Apple tech: Liquid Glass, Apple Intelligence, Live Activities & Dynamic Island, App Intents.

Privacy

Stays on your device.

CarCapt is on-device first. There's no CarCapt server and no account to make. Receipt and statement reading happens right on your phone with Apple Intelligence. Your records live on your device, and in your own iCloud only if you turn on device backups.

  • No account, no server. Nothing to sign up for, nothing of yours sitting on ours.
  • Outside calls are opt-in. A one-time VIN lookup, charger details when you view a station, and Smartcar only if you link your car.
  • On-device intelligence. Receipts and statements are read on your phone, not on a server.

TestFlight beta

One logbook. Every car.
Be first to drive it.

Gas, hybrid or electric, it's one premium logbook that does the math, respects your privacy, and reads like it was written for a person. CarCapt is in beta on TestFlight now, and we invite testers in small batches from the waitlist below.

We'll only use your email to send your invite, never for anything else. Heads up: testing currently needs the iOS 27 beta.

Built for iOS 27 · iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Vision Pro & CarPlay.
